I wasnt into it at first man then i listened a couple of times at work and reaallllly enjoyed it. Then went back and was a bit half half again haha. But ive mostly listened to it at work when Im (semi) busy. Im gonna give it a proper go tonight.

Your facts are just wrong man. There's no tracks here as fucked up as Capillarian Crest or Bladecatcher, just to throw a few examples of how to smash your brain with twisted music...something that is simply not done here...although I like this a lot I think you're just being unfair towards Mastodon...this is as mainstream as first 4 Mastodon albums, in terms of sound.

Im still inbetween a 3.5 and a 4. Some of it is BRILLIANT. Some just alright. Im not super into the cleans at times. Riffs for days though.

I just gave you 2 examples of tracks post Remission way harder to get into, or even to execute, than anything on here. You re obviously choosing to be right instead of thinking along. This is as mainstream as Crack the Skye tbh. It doesn't mean its bad at all. Crack the Skye just became widely known. To think something is less mainstream because it has harsher vocals here and there is also a mistake in current days.

You don’t need to give any examples, I’ve listen to Mastodon’s first 4 records dozens of times and used to be obsessed with them, and I have arrived at my own conclusions. You’re just making the mistake thinking you’re opinion is factual, when it’s not. I happen to think differently, but neither one of us is right.
