Right on it being overlong, wrong about Black Screen. It's James' "The Overload", and an anti-"Someone Great"

"this is my first time listening to a full album from them"

This is the kind of album you should really go into knowing about the band's history. Listen to their older albums, at least Sound Of Silver. Because this is a comeback album.

plus the tone of the album contrasts significantly from anything else they've done, in a way thats kinda essential to appreciating what theyre doing here

About the review, I feel that it only touches on the points it brings up. it could greatly benefit from more in-depth analysis. For example, this sentence:

"“tonite” is a satire filled piece about modern music."

What about modern music is it satirizing? Does it succeed in doing so? What does the song sound like?

it isn't even satire

like it's okay to admit it's a good pop song because for all intents and purposes, it's the closest LCD has ever come to strictly pop

When you have to claim a band's pop song is actually satire of pop music because you can't comprehend a band lowering their standards for pleb music

Oh shit, did not expect to come back to all of this.

Thank you everyone who's checked the review out and for all of the feedback, both positive and negative! I've only recently started writing reviews so any feedback is very helpful!

I agree that I could definitely go into more detail, I'll remember that for next time. I'll admit, I probably uploaded my review prematurely. While my opinion on the record hasn't changed from more listens, it could have used some extra thinking time. Also, maybe I should have listened to the bands discography more before listening and assessing this record, but I don't think that should be completely necessary. I loved Sleater-Kinney's comeback record and hadn't heard a single song from the band previous to listening to that record. Live and learn!

Anyway, obviously from the like to dislike ratio, I definitely have a long way to go with my writing, so I'll continue to write more reviews and get more and more feedback. Thanks again everyone!
