what's weird about it. Sounds pretty standard riff-metal Decapitated to me. Except for the Soilwork song, I think.

I actually really like this.
It's weird when compared to Carnival is Forever, a more straightforward album.
This is all over the place in terms of new ideas. The songwriting has been tightened up some and solos rip face.
They have always had a weird ear for melody which shows itself here, some of the songs can initially sound a little goofy but somehow they make it work.

The fucked up part is nobody even got charged at the end of the day and all the evidence seems to point to the allegations being horseshit, but it still has somehow soured me on the band. I guess I'm more shallow than I thought.
