as they say in sports, it shouldnt be in the hall of fame (kid a should), but the hall of very good

it's a great album, and it was incredibly important for its time.. it showed where music could go.. that's an end in itself, as far OKC's classic status goes.. does this bloated edition as a whole, original and B-sides, warrant a 5/5? nope.

Haven't listened to the B-sides/outtakes yet but I'm willing to bet they're worth a solid 4 on their own merits.

i think ok computer is a true classic, even on principle, but also for quality
i do not view it in any way as a compromise album

We've become part of the mulch. Nothing can be found in amongst the deluge of bilge which we insist on swallowing at an ever alarming rate.
It's like walking on a mountain and finding a 2 billion year old fossil of some undiscovered species and just lobbing it because your only interest is climbing the mountain and I'm sure there's loads of fossils. Fuck it I must keep climbing 'how about stopping for a moment to take in the view?' Nah fuck it just keep climbing.
2000s are shit.

quantity over quality

It's as the tourist says but rather than running around like chickens in our everyday lives it's the times we should have for just kicking back, reflecting and enjoying a fucking classic album. Digest it, listen to it, absorb it, appreciate it, question it, repeat it.......then move onto Jens Lekman :D

its not so black and white z plus you know im not one to be anti older music or anything

I know dude, but I like the fossil metaphor.

Just because you have an elegant tongue for writing reviews doesn't make this opinion any less shit, this reviewer really bothers me and this shouldn't be featured. had the same problem with his DAMN. review, the rating was fine but his arguments, while cleverly worded, were just straight up wrong and gives people a completely wrong view of a great album.
and that review summary is the pussiest thing I've ever seen

sit down be humble

also, the bends is also awesome lol wtf

I don't mind a devil's advocate review but having this review feetured is gonna skewer people's perceptions toward one of the greatest albums of our time and thats super annoying

I don't think OK computer's legacy or reputation is in danger of being altered by a sputnik review.. hence why it's being put out for the umpteenth fucking time, with only three unreleased songs to anchor it..

Not agreeing with his opinion doesn't make the review automatically bad and unworthy of being featured.

I've been trying to get my brother to listen to this for years and he's a avid sputnik user
and I just think it sucks that the review people are gonna see for this re-issue on sputnik is so negative when this wasn't a negtive or pretentious release at all

Yeah no
And this review gets featured automatically since he's staff (in fact it's up on Metacritic too)
