'They signed with Ipecac and will release a new album Love's Holiday next year. Stoked'
appears to have been pushed back to 2023, although I can't find any real info, it is being listed as such on RYM and well... we are in mid-Nov - not heard anything since (?). Ah well, I will wait patiently
I may have underestimated this one a little initially, even if I always enjoyed it - been revisiting all their stuff and I think time spent elsewhere / additional context has helped me appreciate this in a different light

@Relinquished How does that work? I am aware that it has happened to some bands, for example ISIS, their CD's from Oceanic onwards were released on Ipecac, however, their vinyl records have been released by a plethora of labels, how does the licensing aspect works?

A Gentleman's Gentleman has probably the sickest lead guitar riff of all time in it when it gets to the slide-y part in the middle.
New songs are killer. Can't wait for the new album.

I mean it just hits you right in the immediately gratifying jimmies (comparatively), despite being a fitting and fairly logical evolution in their overall journey. It's still unmistakably Oxbow.
I'm interested to see what this new one is like in comparison
good rating btw

Going into the new one v soon (promo bby), but wanted to give this some time soon. Little bit suspicious to see if they get any more overtly accessible (this feels like a very healthy balance) but we shall see

Singles for the new album have been insanely good so I'm expecting nothing less than a masterpiece.

hmm, was expecting an early review from promo-Johnny, any chance we'll have one for the day of release, or is that a negative?
excited to see what new strings they've added to their bow, these guys always come up with something to massage those neurons

It has just occurred to me how disproportionately 'popular' this album is in the context of their discog. I wonder how many people check the new one out (and then don't listen to anything else from their back-catalogue, lol)
