had this bookmarked but forgot to give this a proper listen. remembering it as a peste noire worship/rip-off, which raises the probability of this being overrated.

This is a lot more raw and a lot less experimental than Peste Noire tbh. The mixture between raw bm and folk music is pretty spot on here for me.

Yeah, I get the Peste Noire similarities but I think declaring them as a knock-off is, frankly, a bit unfair
Tracks like Wechselbalg give me all I want from folk BM - interesting vox, decent but not squeaky clean production, and sweet riffs. The fact they can use folk instruments without making them the sole point of interest is also a +1 for me

Yeah I understand the comparison but def not a clone in any type of way.

so far I'm a bit disappointed that the lyrics aren't in Schwizerdütsch (swiss german). production is pretty good.

it's not really that unfair though is it, this is dripping with imitation. to think the guy behind it isn't (almost completely) stylistically driven by KPN is absurd.

that being said I thought the album was pretty good other than the bits where he tries to be different from KPN. if you're gonna copy you might as well do it properly.

New one is excellent but it's thisalbum2.0. I was going to review it because I loved this album here, but there's honestly nothing new to say about it really.
