I'm not a fan of Suicide Silence, save for a few songs, but I think this reviewers bashing of Mitch is unnecessary. Like, how exactly did he lack talent? His vocals sounded solid to me. The review also makes imaginary statements that contribute nothing to the overall point.
"Hermida believes 15 seconds of one hoarse scream excuses him for the annoyingly moaned cleans he haphazardly throws the listener's way."
Where's your proof of this? You also wait until the outro paragraph to say anything about cohesion, which could have been a better addition to the paragraphs that by far were mostly about Hermida's vocals.

literally is not a 1 at all

i do actually enjoy this to an extent from an experimenting aspect but mostly the last 4 songs

This is going to be a great comment section.
The problem here is that to me it seems like they are a bit old to be playing this edgy, angsty style of music. I mean, there are parts that are taken from any number of late 90's Korn or Deftones records and just pasted here.
Then there are parts where they return to their old stuff (parts of Listen) and it just sounds so awkward.
I hated this review but at least they had the guts to admit that Eddie is a better vocalist than Mitch. Mitch just had the charisma and "fuk religion lol"

Nah

best thing this band ever did was cover Deftones' Engine No. 9, might check this out but scared I'll enjoy it and get whacked by the big swinging dicks of sputnik, although that's never stopped me before

Listening to Doris probably caused it.

cleans in Doris sound like Chad Kroeger during sex, and not in the good way

Always found them a bit too heavy for me, but I think this album is alright to be fair. Not great and probably won't come back to it too much, but enjoyable enough at times and enjoy the nods to Deftones and Korn, even if it's obviously nowhere near as good.

Run is fucking terrible tho.
Conformity is probably the track that shows Eddie off the best, people will hate it but I like it. The guitar solo is not bad.

was surprised to see this get a nu metal main genre tag on RYM. I thought they'd be combining their old and new styles but sounds like they went full on SlipKorn. KoRknot. DefKorn. Probably worse than the new Korn album but Sput loved that pile of garbage too, so all this hate for classic nu jams is kinda surprised tbh.

"i wanna roast your 5's sweeney but you have Alk3 5'd so you're OK in my book"
That's the band that stopped you? I have many conflicting emotions rn
