i must say, as objective as i can(not) be, that HSN is by far the most interesting thing i have heard all year in metal



(hyperion is superb but not as innovating as this)

Entropia's album was pretty amazeballs, but honestly Ulcerate stole the show this year.

This is growing on me hard, wasn't impressed with this at all when i first heard it but the different layers blend in with each other so nicely and it's so catchy in places

Been listening to this a lot lately. I love the theatricality, but can understand why others wouldn't. It makes for a good contrast between the heavier bits, making them stand out more. Vocals really help make this for me, though some of the backing vocals on Lost in Satan's Charms are kind of awkward imo

Definitely hits the spot when I'm craving something a little more avant-garde. I still think this is their best, even though Oi Magoi is a great record.

Front half of this album is unbeatable

I Mean You Harm and Mayhem in Blue are some of the best genre-fusing Metal tracks in a long time. And the production on percussion is amazing.

Yeah honestly this is one of my favorite production jobs on a metal album ever.

I have the sound of that zinging cymbal stuck in my head forever now.

Also, the vocalist's voice is beyond demonic.
