minty lol you gotta stop hating on that song. the acoustic and harmonies are clarity esque and the lyrics are great

For me it's the lyrics. Just never felt a connection to them, and they seemed a little hokey/cliche. I agree they're structurally similar though.

I'm not hating! Just wondered what you guys think separates it from another similar song.

...though I do dislike it lol. But I'm not trying to dislike it. I want to love it; there's no ill intent here.

"It was a freezing night and not a single cloud,

I had a couple in me so I reached out."

I feel like the lyrics on Damage are pretty close to untouchable. I don't see where you come from Sowing but I guess it's just a personal thing and either something works for you or it doesn't, and that's fine.

damage is still good imo. but if it was a little more stripped back and had better production it could've been an excellent jim solo project

The production on Damage is weak, I will give you that. I wonder if all they needed to do to make it sound good was buy a better freaking microphone for the vocals lol.

Likin' all the hype around this. I gotta actually listen to the band's classics first before I get to this.

Oh yeah I agree about the solo project comment. None of the other members really make their mark on Damage like they do on Integrity Blues. It's a fairly "acoustic" album already and does really feel like it's all Jim. Works for the album because it's a personal album but I could see it working as a solo project.

Sowing you damn well know this is objectively better than Yellowcard 2016 and you're letting your tears not just fall but crash around you thus affecting your scores. Lol

I really like the song 'through', it's catchy as hell

you are free, the end is beautiful, and through might be the strongest run of songs for me

Through is an awesome song, Atari. Definitely agree with that. That song in particular kept catching my attention during my listens today.
