Detroit Tapes is enjoyable. They don't often get some skank beats going but here it works.

Pretty good review Futures, if plagued with somewhat awkward wording at points. Unfortunately I don't really agree with the sentiment, it seems fairly mediocre on first listen (as to be expected really) but I'll give it some time to digest before rating it.

there is no awkward wording here you just hate me.

I don't see any awkward wording, you got your point across just fine.

Well refer to Ghosts comment in regards to awkward wording. It's nothing too detrimental but there's definitely some room for improvement in the syntax department, I'm not trying to be rude I'm just offering constructive criticism.
Also I don't even hate you (don't even know you) but 80% of the time you're so unnecessarily antagonistic that it's hard to form a positive opinion of you when that's all I have to go by. I know I'm guilty of it too but I almost never instigate it hence why I've been a cunt back to you

Easy 4 if the lyrics were about something emotionally gripping. Or maybe I should say I just wish they resonated with me in anyway.

Yea, I don't know. I'm going to end up liking the album just because I've been a fan since Dear Love, but I'm a little underwhelmed. The lyrics are killing me and I feel like the album as a whole doesn't really mesh together. Don't get me wrong, the instrumentals are great and Mike still sounds awesome in spots, but I'm going to miss their breakdowns. Yea, the breakdowns can be generic, but let's be honest, they're a big part of the genre. Constance is one of my favorite songs from them.
I don't understand how everyone likes Worldwide either. A 5 year old could have written those lyrics and, while it's catchy simply because of the music, it's not a good song. I was pumped up for this album when I heard To The Key of Evergreen, but I feel like it shouldn't even be in this album; no other song carries the same vibe. The album will probably grow on me as I listen more, but it won't pass Dead Throne or Zombies on my favorites list.

the melody from to the key of evergreen sounds like something from a hans zimmer score tbh. interstellarcore

I couldn't get past the third track I believe it was. I was listening to it while doing some yardwork though, so maybe I should give it a more dedicated listen.
