ehh, I'll bump this. It's certainly a grower, though I highly doubt I'll bump it any further.

Crows on a Wire is such a great track and sums up my feelings about this election year

Yeah, I never thought I'd be appreciating an Alter Bridge album for political themes but they really integrate those pretty well on this album.

The title track is probably my favourite on the album while My Champion is my least favourite. I think they should have cut it entirely and had You Will Be Remembered as the radio single, would have had greater commercial success due to it's subject matter.

"but they really integrate those [political themes] pretty well on this album."

Not sure I agree with that, I think songwriting could have been a bit better. For instance, The Writing on the Wall is apparently about Myles' frustration with climate change denial in politics, but the lyrics seemed a bit vague for me to get anything out of them, compared to a song like Waters Rising from their previous album

EDIT: Actually, ignore what I just said. I had another listen to "Writing on the Wall" and it's better than I was giving it credit for

I also find it decent for the most part, but Myles' singing of the chorus sounds a bit too familiar and derivative. I can't place which songs I have heard that kind of chorus before but like I said, feels a bit familiar
