its no coincidence that reviews of lesser known artists are more directly related to the actual fucking music than the person who wrote it
the same approach should be taken for all music critiques
like say if you were reviewing a movie, if you heard some dirt on the director would you include it in the review

I feel the referencing of the Ellen interview is a metaphor for dichotomy, and dichotomy seems to not only plague the album and Kanye's clothing ventures but also Kanye himself therefore comes off as a valid concept to put in the review.

That would make things pretty boring, honestly. Different styles are great and welcomed, in my opinion. This is one take, which you clearly consider an invalid methodology of criticism, but that does not make the writing bad.
Far from it, in fact. The argument's construction and execution are way above average on this site whether you agree with how the argument was made.

I didn't think this album was as bad as everyone's saying. It's pretty solid, there's some filler here and there, but to call it an awful record is just taking the piss.
