I really liked the album and I may the only person here that had not heard anything previously by this band. I thought the singing and the guitar riffs were outstanding! I completely disagree with the main review.

This is still the worst metal album of the year by a significant margin. The production on here baffles me.

There's been a intense war of words going on between the band and Alissa in the past few days and idk which side to believe.

I'll believe Alissa because the band seem like proper shitcunts

Alissa isn't the most likable person also imo. I saw some drama bs as well somewhere, didn't look into it much.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I read some of the gushing reviews. I'll admit that Eye of Providence was my intro to this band, so I don't know what their previous output sounds like, but Five is hot garbage. What happened to Vicky's voice? She sounded fine on the band's first outing with her. Here, she struggles to do even the most basic growl, and her cleans suck, too. The instrumentation is also more pedestrian. My wife is a huge fan of female-fronted metal bands, and even she hated it.

Wow, this is really rough to get through. I think I checked out halfway through. Who's idea was it to have a near-six minute ballad completely devoid of anything that barely changes the entire way through followed by an almost three minute long interlude, and why is everything so much quieter than the vocals? I really want to know the thought process behind making this album.
Edit: Alas, against my bitter judgment I finished the whole thing, and it didn't really get any better. This really didn't need to be as long as it was. Fitting that it ends with a cover of Take Me to Church because I think I need God after getting through this album. Shoutouts to the guitarist in the music video with the Devin shirt, though.
