Caliggy, usually I can agree with you, but not on this. I have to jump in and say that Blink's self titled is easily their best album. It took a band most known for their catchy, hyperactive, immature antics and fun, and showcased a darker side to them, an unexpected dose of maturity that didn't go unheeded by critics or fans. Also "I Miss You" will forever be one of the best songs ever.

"showcased a darker side to them, an unexpected dose of maturity that didn't go unheeded by critics or fans."
It's fine, but this right here, that's not Blink-182 to me. It just feels like they lost their identity, and copied the same dark, angsty attitude that many Pop-Punk bands were already doing at the time, and better.

@CaliggyJack You think S/T is mediocre, yet you give this a 4? Lol. Your kidding yourself. This album is the equivalent to a Taco Bell dumpster on an 100 degree day.

Honestly, the self titled is more Blink to me than any other album by them. While I dig most of their other records, the self titled is the only one that I really ever connected with.

Obvious is my personal favorite off the S/T. I dig that DeLonge riff and that chorus.
|
| |
yeah s/t was them finally hitting all the right notes and focusing everything they've ever been into a magnum opus instead of just being little shitheads the whole time

S/T is a pop punk/alternative masterpiece. This is, like I said, equal to a Taco Bell dumpster on a hot day.

Nowhere near the extent of the self titled, it was a little unprecedented at the time you can't deny that.
