First started lurking here in 2012, I think. I remember The Seer was literally everyone's favorite album when I first found the site.

Hm soon after I did. This site helped me find all kinds of good bands over that span.

This was such an improvement over the previous album.

Agreed, but that wasn't too hard to do considering it was a train wreck of an album

I found that album to be more average, except for the acoustic track at the end of the album which was wonderful.

Dude I couldn't stand it. MDIYE will forever be their high point for me, and their debut isn't too far behind it

I still haven't jammed MDIYE, I've only heard this, Know Hope, and Hold On Pain Ends. My ranking of the albums I've heard is also that, this > KH > HOPE

I couldn't get into Know Hope, the drastic vocal change really irked me, plus the lead guitarist left after MDIYE so the guitars just aren't as good as they used to be. You should jam MDIYE and the debut, it's their best work easily

Lol it's just that I don't like Garret's screams on the first two, I much prefer his more unique vocals on the later albums.

If you can't get down to those bellows and shrieks then you are too far gone. His lows resonate with the soul
|
| |
The first two were okay and good, respectively. Know Hope was great. Then HOPE happened and they've sucked ever since.

MDIYE is my second favorite album ever made, so I might have a little bias towards it. However, that doesn't dismiss the fact that it's their most well-received album
|

True, true. I still think it's good, but not great. I think I like Know Hope more than most. It's very nostalgic for me.

Like I've said, I couldn't get into Know Hope. I know a lot of people who dig it, but I just can't deal with the drastic style change
|
| |
Difference in preferences is all I guess. I personally love his vocals on Know Hope.
|
| |
Should I like... try this again? Know Hope still sounds great.
|

Bad idea.
