Been listening to this more and I think it's pretty much on par with their other best (maybe not quite, but close). I took it as pretty kiddy/annoyingly sunny but the more I think of it that's always been their shtick. The melodies here are bouncy and memorable, the lyrics are just a notch below par. Anyway, my point is that this is better than I remembered.

I really don't want to listen to Mrs. Hippopotamuses, Cat, or Elephant Parade ever again. Still some good songs on here but some of them are just annoying and the last few songs are pretty forgettable.

Album hasn't really aged well, though I still jam Bummer on occasion. I wanted more songs like that even when it first released. Now I can't tolerate the sillier numbers on here.
