This album gives me a weird, yet awesome sense of nostalgia and I really didn't get into Chevelle until later.

Looking at all of their album averages, I should probably check these guys out.

Before it came out and only having listened to Joyride I wasn't too excited for this, but after a few listens this is easily one of my favorites from these guys. Young Wicked, SFaC and Got Burned groove hard

I really enjoyed all singles up to release, whole album didn't really match up to the singles tho imo. was a tad let down. Think it's in the 3.5 area. i still think sci-fi crimes is their best, most consistent album. They really don't have a bad album though and that's the most impressive part about this band. Are all albums classics? No, of course not.. but there isn't a BAD one at all.

It still has the really nice sense of aggression they brought to La Gárgola, but it doesn't come close to matching the melodies that thing had.

Sort of bummed they didn't include the standard cover along with the special edition like they did with La Gargola. I hang a lot of album covers for decoration, and the standard is waaaay cooler looking. Oh well, guess I'll just have to buy another copy and support the band more...

This is fairly disappointing. Many times it sounds like La Gargola without any of the melodicism.

It's bad just like La Gargola, minus any melody or decent hooks. Sci-Fi Crimes destroys every album of theirs since it came out, this one especially.

Never understood the appeal for Sci-Fi Crimes, This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In) is the only album by them I really, really like.
