the only Emarosa song I still remember in any way is a Toast to the Future kids (which is a jam)

this on the other hand is probably the most middling, bland, milquetoast shite I've heard all year, how can something be so aggressively middle of the road in every way

This band has always been try-hard shit for scene kids who never grew up and became adults.

while they get lumped with a lot of those bands, I never felt these guys were a scene band per se.

Man you guys a harsh!! I love this band and can agree that this isn't their strongest album. But still very solid and with the exception of a few dud tracks a good listen.

Fake History is one of my all-time favorite records and I adored The Blackest Beautiful when it came out. This sadly doesn't impress me at all, their energy is like totally gone.

The Blackest Beautiful is great. Virgin Dirt and Pheromone Cvlt are two of their best. But Fake History is, of curse, superior.

I understand that Fake History and TBB were always going to be hard albums to follow. But this is just so...average. It's not that it's terrible. It's just so bland.
