The Drones album is way more enjoyable than this

And 2016 continues being a shitty year for music. At this point it's just a joke. I haven't seen a year this shitty in a minute

I really don't see why the ratings of this are so low... This is a pretty strong 3.5 for me. The only songs that aren't good are the two Ministry songs and Chain of Keys. The last two songs songs in particular are amazing.

Dollar Dollar (bill y'all) is the only remotely good song

I like the second Ministry, my weakpoints are the first Ministey and Near the Memorials to Vietnam and Lincoln

Both Ministry songs have good elements but don't use them effectively imo, I like Near the Memorials... but it is one of the weaker ones. On Chain of Keys, the call and response vocal thing just doesn't work, it's the worst song on the album imo and one of PJ's worst overall. Basically, Chain of Keys sounds to me like what I imagine the whole album sounds like to the haters.

On the upside A Line in the Sand is my favorite : )

So uh, I've only heard let england shake and it was okay, but the first two songs on here are really cool, yet everyone is saying this album is average.

Still a four but I can see why people would be disappointed with this.

Yeah, it's really solid musically, the lyrics are occasionally subpar, but not bad enough where it's distracting in my opinion.

Album is the tits.
A tableau of the missing
Tied to the government building

Blackstar is one of the best things I'd heard in a good while. I was kind of in a musical/life limbo when it came out and upon first listen I felt battered. It was that 'pick me up' album I needed for the college semester, while still being an awfully sad record when put into context. Anywho, this ain't the BS thread, so I'll stop.
