Almost right!
On second thought, maybe I am only almost right myself. I think this needs a rating bump finally.

Hmm that is a little bit of a problem yeah.
Except for when you really like something and cannot ever remember it, then you can experience genius for the first time over and over and over again. But it doesn't really bode well for this one combined with that rating...

Yeah I saw you said this a few pages back too... Hmmmmm. Interesting! I always really notice it (in a good way!) when I have all of their stuff on shuffle. Going to check it in album context again later.
Also: bumped! Was long overdue. But I bumped some of their others too. They've proven they have a lot of staying power, I still think they R U L E ! ! !

Paha got your back. This alb is always here (threw it on randomly and am so blissed out rn)
I think Miki's squeaktime on Strobolights and I might be my favourite incorporation of Japanglish on any record; the mood/style on those tracks is so beautifully marginally dissociated to begin with (in a dazey nostalgic way) that the way she renders the language fits perfectly. UGH so good

That LO-VE-LY drum sound alone Johnny omg. So much about this is perfect.
Will pay close attention to the Miki moments. Such a you thing to notice and think about haha.

Fuck me yeah, the percussion on this is fucking glorious. Nijiiro Darkness alone is a bloody masterclass, makes every drum machine Radiohead song sound like it was programmed by a hippo
and in fairness I've jammed this like 30 times without thinking too hard about the blend of languages, but it suddenly struck me now. her vocals in general hit me differently on this one; their rock stuff has her and Koji on p much a level plane, but I feel she takes to the mechanical side in a v different way to him

Exactly! It is stunning actually, just how good EVERYTHING (!!!!!!!!) sounds here.
On Strobelights now and that track is absolutely perfect. Love all of it. And I get what you mean by the Japanglish now. Very true, she's a superb fit for this type of sound.
An album worth every ounce of hype it gets, and then some. There will be a day, not too far off now, when I finally 5.0 this.
