I'll probably give this a go when I get home. Sounds like the length is a pretty big turn-off for some people, guess I'll find out how I feel about it.

I only really love like 3 deathcore bands and everything else below that isn't nearly as good. Hopefully this stacks up, seeing that the average is a 4. Has a deathcore release even been at a 4 before? The highest I know of is a 3.9

I honestly thought the vocals came off kind of annoying. I didn't really like the spoken word parts. Sounded like they were being read off by a bad voice actor, and there is too much of it. Love the guy's death growls and highs, just felt like the spoken word narration stuff took away from the music and kind of ruined the vibe for me. The music was great, though, and it makes me wonder why Jack didn't want it released yet.

This is hardly deathcore, even if you try to see it as deathcore there are really few moments, except for some syncopated riffs and such

I definitely picked up deathcore vibes, but damn this was pretty killer. Length didn't bother me much, but the female narrator that joined in one part was not very good. Overall it was really enjoyable.

I jam it quite often still, I love the vocals and story behind it, shame the singer quit the band and is moving on, this may be STC's last album worth it

Yes agreed, a bunch of band issues and drama, he released the album without the rest of the band's permission and things went haywire.

As far as I'm aware, 2/3 of the band wanted to release it. It was only the composer that didn't want it released, which he himself was threatening to take the album from the other 2

No, the singer is the one who released it unannounced. The rest of the band was being kind of lazy when it came to preparing it and releasing it and he got tired of it, so he tried to leave and create a side band to help finish off the album because of complications.

This thing grew on me the more and more I listened to it, but I'm a sucker for concept albums that use motifs...

Destiny's Fool is probably my song of the year
