"So what you are saying is you didn't see them live? They sound studio quality live. I've seen them 3 or 4 times live and they have been flawless."

I assure you that what I saw was not studio quality, and even if it was I think their studio work kinda sucks so it wouldn't change my opinion of them.

"Yeah, it's easy to say a band sucks live when you don't even like them to begin with."

Except I had never even heard of them when I saw them so I would say I experienced them while being completely objective.

Good review. Unfortunately this bored the living hell out of me. Found this totally monotonous.

Animals as Leaders. They were disappointing too. Not nearly as good as the first time I saw them when they and Intronaut opened for Meshuggah.

Huh. I went to that tour as well and the sound was on point for both bands; I'm pretty critical about that as well. Not sure what happened at your gig.

Yeah idk it wasn't my favorite venue and Animals as Leaders had some technical difficulties. I don't know what After the Burial's deal was.

Sorry to hear it sucked. I saw them in SLC. I'd see both bands again if/when they come back.

Collapse is a fucking neck breaker but otherwise, I didn't think too much of this upon first listen. Then again, I thought the same with WW so hopefully this grows on me.

Perhaps your venue just has terrible sound quality? I've seen them at 3 different venues once in southern Cali (don't remember venue name), Hard Rock Cafe in Vegas (Best audio I've heard in a venue) and Knitting Factory in Boise (not great audio). After the Burial has always been on point though. Very clean sound. I've seen Animals as Leaders live too, although they weren't CD quality sounding, they were still pretty good. After the Burial though is hands down one of the best live bands (and get praised regularly as such).

This album has been catching a lot of people off guard. It's no game changer but it's solid and a good time throughout.

I've only been there a few times and the sound quality isn't the greatest but it was fine for the other shows I'd seen there. Probably my least favorite venue in Milwaukee.
