I would've liked for this review to actually review the performance of Kiko and Chris...

I'd say this is better than Slayer's last record.

A solid Megadeth album? I can go back to loving these guys again! (Yes, that was how heartbroken I was over the last piece of shite)

Better than the last 2, slightly worse than Endgame, drumming not adding anything etc etc etc.

I also thought Addler would Add more to the drumming....

much better than Drover anyways

what I really liked was the production.... the guitars are so upfront and tasty, and that helps to make the leads even cooler. By the way, Loureiro did a great job.

The vocals are the bad stuff here, but not as shitty as in Super Collider. And I like how he still tries some melodic vocal stuff like in the title track

Listened to it on repeat three times over this evening. Definitely a very solid return to form. Has all those classic elements that made the band so good, even the title track has that breakdown that reminds me of Hanger 18 in the best way.

That AV Club review cdrewsr388 mentioned is so stupid. What if a conservative website reviewed Sacred Reich's The American Way (to give a thrash metal example) and gave it a D for the title track's line "A capitalist's democracy/Why no one said that freedom's free" and Crimes Against Humanity's environmentalist, antiwar bent? Fuck off with that bullshit.

first strike

you are wrong here. dave is open about his views, why the reviewer shouldn't?

after all he gives it a b and talks mostly about the music
