This is a horrible release, they do not even sound like QR anymore, now they sound like an imitation band of Fates Warning, do not listen to this rubbish, you will be wasting your time! I recommend you check out Geoff Tate's King's & Thieves or Queensryche's Frequency Unknown or Operation Mindcrime The Key, you will LOVE those 3 albums, they actually sound more like Queensryche & are by FAR much better written with much better vocals & concepts.

It does. Nasty solo. Like the song was built around it.

Reworked a few of my Ryche ratings, much better now. This is a great album that I still keep in full in my iPod, but I wonder if they can come up with an excellent one with the next shot. The seeds are there. I think I remember reading that they'll enter the studio in January, and I remember Todd's interest for progressive compositions.
I'll drop a Ryche ranked list after the third Toddryche album is released

I'd be interested in said list.
Off the top of my head, mine is probably
OM -> RFO -> EMP -> WARN -> PL -> CH -> S/T -> everything else -> DTC / FU

I'll leave my ramblings for when I'll be typing the list. I believe the new album should be out on early 2018, it seems it's going to be generally more up-tempo and proggy than CH, I'm fully on board with that

Haven't seen you in a while, Geoff.
It seems for the new album Eddie is playing the same bass he used on Mindcrime, Empire and PL

I'm really interested to see where they go with the new one. If you're not playing to your classic fans' interest at this point, who are you looking to appease you know?

I'll just paste this from a Blabbermouth article of the past September:
Wilton told United Rock Nations that the songs that he has written so far for QUEENSRŸCHE's next album "have a little more energy, a little more spunk to them. But, you know, it's gonna be a good hard rock record," he said. "It's not gonna be too ethereal — although you never know. [Laughs] We have a couple of songs that are way out there — very experimental, very, dare I say, progressive. So we challenge ourselves."
At the time he also said that they had 12 songs written

There is another campaign on PledgeMusic just like they did with CH. No date outside of "late 2018 / early 2019".
Anyway Todd finally touched the "who plays drums on the next record?" question. However his answer doesn't say that much. He only said something like "the drums are recorded by Queensryche the band, not by session men and hired guns". A guess that's floating around the web is that Todd may have recorded the drums himself but the band is leaving the chance to SRock for re-recording them as long as they can, and I'm sure he must at least have a creative word.
Nevertheless I'm all up for a new Toddryche, it's make or break time

I've never listened to this band but I want to check this.

It's like the worst of the best starting points considering they don't play the new stuff live except 1 or 2 songs. That said, this is the voice you're going to hear on a live show
