thats not what im sayin jackass, you only tend to read part of what i write, maybe only because you either want to or thats all you understand.

Down boy. No bark.

youre talking about genres,

No I'm not.

im talking about one song ripping off another, because its completely and blatantly sounds the same.

I already knew that, I'm just being a skeptic.

Ironic that you bitch about my reading comprehension skills. Take some valium, chill the hell out, and get back to me when you don't have your asshole in a knot.

face it, the album is a letdown,

I don't even own the album yet. I'm just playing devil's advocate. Who are you trying to convince? Me, yourself, or the goblin living in your head that's telling you to flip out on me?This Message Edited On 12.05.06

i loved this cd. I'm a huge fan of RHCP's old stuff, like UMPP, Freaky Styley, and Mother's Milk, and i'd love to see them bring back the funk, but i've accepted the fact that they've changed styles. I was dissapointed with by the way, so i'm glad they picked it up this time around

You're making less and less sense. Get off the asinine talking points and speak like a normal person.

I'm surprised RS085 is still around. Usually once Steerpike exposes the idiots they leave.

completely ripped off
having a similar riff or bridge as a song made many years before does not mean "completely ripped off." "Ice Ice Baby" was completely ripped off; I don't think any of those songs compares with that.

Ive been a fan for years, what, a fan cant critique a band's work? im sorry i dont bow down to a RHCP shrine every night like you folks probably do. Have you not realized that I gave the cd a decent rating, because well, with those 4 songs knocked off, its a much better cd. I dont make any sense to you because you were lost on me from the start, not my problem you fail to have any decent comprehension skills.

I should have known making a decent point in here wouldve startled something with the people who sleep with the records under their pillows, especially if my opinion 'offended' some people...

aww thats too bad, you want me to call the snuggly police so i can file a report?

At most, the cd is decent, this should not be hailed as their best either, like im seeing, because if it is, they should at least give credit to the bands they ripped off. Its a sad time for diehard fans. This Message Edited On 12.06.06

They should stick to making dirty funk. Frusciante needs to be back on drugs to play good, and Will Ferrells pocket drumming gets annoying sometimes. Face it, hes not a good drummer, just meshes well with the band. The best parts on the album are Keidis's lyrics and Flea bass, (although he is a bit over-rated when it comes to Bass).

Sadly the cd is still better than most of whats playing right now on the radio, but its not very strong. The idiot is here to stay sorry folks, ill keep commenting. What are you gonna do take away my birthday? This Message Edited On 12.06.06

Interesting, I like Frusciante's guitar work on this album more than on previous ones. I like them equally doing funk and...that other thing they do.

Did you or did you not read the part whre I said that I don't even own the bloody album?

I dont make any sense to you because you were lost on me from the start, not my problem you fail to have any decent comprehension skills.

And it's not my fault that you're an egotistical, myopic child.

All I've been saying this whole time is that you've been stating your opinion as if it were fact with no attempt to back any of it up, and when confronted with the possibility that you might be wrong (such as me suggesting that these "rip-offs" really aren't) you have a temper tantrum.

Drr Drr Drrrr!!

aww thats too bad, you want me to call the snuggly police so i can file a report?... Will Ferrells pocket drumming... What are you gonna do take away my birthday?

What the hell? Funny how you say John Frusciante needs to get back on the drugs when it sounds like you need to get off of them.

Anyway, if you want to start a fight, I have no problem with finishing it for you. This Message Edited On 12.07.06

How does a song being a ripoff bring down the actual quality of the song itself, even more rediculous, how the entire album???

My claims werent backed up? the fuck you on steerpike? Hearing about Dani California was one thing, I shrugged that off, but it wasnt until I noticed myself that two songs sounded like something else, and then another person brought another song to my attention. You have the intelligence of a pubic hair. No attempt to back it up? youre kiddin me.

I even listed the songs for you to compare and contrast, I dont even think you bothered to notice, let alone listen. Your argument is weak steer.

Onewaytrip2hell, the cd is decent, and would be alot better knowing that 4 songs werent original. 1 song I could shrug off, 2 is pushin it, but 4? 4 out of 28 which, I know, doesnt seem like much, but still the majority of people ive talked to have said they could do without most of the 28, regardless if theyre original or not. This Message Edited On 12.07.06

I notice you're being incredibly vague. Anyone can just say "oh that song sounds like another song". So, you're still not backing up your points. If you want to properly back it up tell me exactly what all these songs are and what songs they sound like.

You have the intelligence of a pubic hair.

How would you know how intelligent pubic hairs are? Based on the tantrums you've been throwing you don't have any yet. This Message Edited On 12.07.06

I got hairs on my head older than you, metallicaboy. Dont get me started on that band. Ill list the songs for those who failed to notice.

Besides the obvious Dani California sounds like MaryJane bullshit, which can actually be heard on this site, http://www.jared-morris.com/blog/petty.mp3

you got Desecration Smile, where the melody and chord changes sound exactly like Innocent by Fuel. Same shit applies to Wet Sand (Over The Hills And Far Away by Zeppelin) and Readymade (Mountain Song by Janes Addiction).
