I meant the sound and production just don't feel that grindy or sludgy as the previous ones, but a bit more pristine and shiny. But yap not gothic for sure, but just slightly, as I also dug immensely. I only refereed to that because of some wrong idea of Paradise Lost kind of doom...

One of these days I will check Hooded Menace's earlier works. The band is very much appreciated around here, so it should be interesting.

not as much as I would like on sput (not many votes) but their being acclaimed as the top deathdoom bands in other metal circles. One of the nicest characteristics (besides how tight it all is) is in fact changing the mood of doom to a more grind/sludge horror movie vibe.
