@jefflebowski: thanks, that means a lot. I think after 200 some odd reviews and so many years, I just lost a little bit of my spark, but after taking a year off as emeritus I feel a little more rejuvenated with music in general.

@dimsim: most certainly, I think it's one of the better tracks here actually. And I can't deny the NMH similarity, I think you hit the nail on the head.

I actually am not the biggest fan of Stable Boy, but that's just because I felt like it went on a little too long.

i'm honestly getting the impression that they pumped The Monitor's grandiosity through Local Business' bland and drawn out songwriting

"devils advocate"

Johnny you're so sweet!! but yes there are just some parts of the review that I feel are just way too confident into cementing this record as some instant classic; an idea wich I disagree with yes, but I also don't feel like the review makes a strong enough case for such a claim, instead directly presuposing its superbness on the amount of grand energy and grand lyrics on display as well at its possible comparison to similar long hailed classics (simplifying here but I think you can see my point). Obviously creating a classic out of a young record through a review is herculian (or Robinulian) but still I just feel like this review is a massive blimp of almost nothing more than foam (sorry if the expression hurts you, its just kinda how I see it), a bit like the record tbh wich might explain why I don't get this review either

The beginning of No Fugure 4 and the overall feel of Lonely Boy absolutely remind me of The Who.
