Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, this has to be one of the stupidest music releases I've heard this year so far. On the bright side of things, stupid is as stupid does. A lot of this is quite enjoyable and Till himself sounds astonishingly effective in English, while Peter Tagtgren's contributions make this album immediately commendable for me.
As for lead single Praise Abort, in the context of this record, it's still passable, but this particular song's one of the weakest links. Fish On and Home Sweet Home are shaping up to be favorites.

Yeah but it's high class shit.

no its really just shit

I feel like that's the point. No one goes into industrial metal/shock rock expecting a masterpiece anyway.

The raw emotion and synthitude of Yukon certainly isn't. That has wedding song written all over it.

I feel like that's the point
there is nothing more retarded than this logic
"if something is shitty but its supposed to be shitty then its not shitty"
no. its still just shitty.

My first listen thru on this cd.. I thought... 'Meh'. But the more and more I listen to it, the more I love it.

What has surprised me more is how few critics understand what the band were going for. I think metal hammer are the only critic that got what the band were doing, every other critic online or magazine just keep saying the same shit: "awful lyrics", "trying too hard at shock value", "dull riffing" - like they were expecting a timeless masterpiece. It's just a hard-hitting, fun album, not to be taken seriously.

@Darkhorse: 'meh' to 5... That escalated quickly.. haha.
If Tagtgren was in charge of the songwriting this would probably be a viable album, but as it is.. At least you can tell they had fun with it.

How's it bullshit? Quite simplely, you either get it or you don't. But for people to say the lyrics are shit when they are designed to be ridiculous and stupid isn't a criticism, it's stating something Lindemann already knows.

I agree with you about the lyrics but saying that we don't get the music is stupid. People knew that the lyrics were going to be goofy and that's why they wanted the music to be good, which is not.

Not referring to general people, I'm talking about critics. And as for the music, it's no different to any rammstein track.
