I'm really not sure what all the uproar is about regarding this review. Is it a masterpiece? No, but not everything a writer turns in is going to be phenomenal. I've definitely written worse reviews than this before and gotten shat on at least 90% less.

My philosophy is simple: If you don't like the current review for an album, go write a better one.

Wow, guess you never listened to ABYSSAL, which came out in 2007 and = them mastering their post-rock style. Yes, All the Footprints... + Abyssal are easily the two best things they've done, but my god Atheist's Cornea is so much better than Recitation and so much more focused than A Dead Sinking Story and Insomniac Doze. It's the perfect length, and while I wasn't sold on the track ordering (two loud songs, two soft post-rock songs, then a mixture through to the end) the more I listen, the more it flows really well.

I feel like this is Envy re-trying whatever it is they tried with Recitation, and actually nailing it this time.
