Mr Bungle is basically FNM when you throw your entire kitchen sink at them, take a shit on it and light it on fire

in other words they're fucking great but it's nice to just jam to some chill grooves with FNM rather than exploring the pseudo-post-menstrual-jazzgrindambientcore of Mr Bungle sometimes

"probably my fault for listening to mr. bungle before FNM, but everything i've heard from FNM just seems so much more dull and bland in comparison"

So true, this band does nothing for me minus a few songs.

I'm pretty drunk man but all I know is half of these geezers were expecting TRT/AG Pt. 2

Shame on them and KFAD forever and always!

Also, Seperation Anxiety is the best song FNM has released since...well ermmm... Last Cup of Sorrow or Ashes to Ashes?

KFAD for life agreed and yeah Separation Anxiety/Cone of Shame/Matador are up there with their best songs ever

This still isn't streaming in full for me yet but I LOVE the 2 singles and Seperation off YouTube.

The verses in 'Seperation' are very Deftones-y, ya feel me?

I can see why some would be underwhelmed. Wasn't that impressed on first listen either but after some single song spins and another second or third listen, other songs aside from Separation Anxiety and Matador stood out more.

Like every FNM album it will grow! People just have no patience cos after an 18 year absence they are expecting instant greatness.

So bloody annoying.

Not only after 18 years do people have like no patience. Especially these days, it's like if something doesn't speak to you instantly then it's disposable or you move on. As if the music has to 'work' for you in order to work, when it's actually the other way around.
