Great work by the band here. Neogenesis is a masterpiece of aural, atmospheric shred.

Listening to this for the first time in a pretty long time. It's good to hear the progression from Below the Lights, this, and Ruun into Vertebrae and Aximoa Ethica Odini because those two are definitely their best.

They justified that hype mostly with Monumension and Below the Lights, because they succeessfully mixed prog rock with black metal.



i agree with you for their later releases which were okay in general, but by all means not on the same level with the two aforementioned records.

Album rules. Neogenesis has to be my fav Enslaved song.
