all told I'm on the fence. liiiiil corny to me, but that could be that I genuinely can't stop myself from picturing an anime character singing them ("one more time" vid strikes again!)

"digital love" TOTALLY works though. damn I almost forgot about that song. that was always the 110% magical one growing up

i actually agree that they're somewhat corny but they fit the vibe perfectly and are super fun to me

yea I guess if we're throwing "corny" out there then I can't be fucking with, like, the keytar solo in "digital love"--which to be clear I totally fuck with. hrmmm I'll think about this. the vocals start to bother me more toward the end of the album ("face to face" [which rips] and "too long" [which...hrm])

Holy shit hadn't thought about Fang Island in *years.* This album rules tho. Definitely takes me back to a much simpler time, sitting in the backseat wearing earbuds dreaming out the window. "Digital Love" is an absolute hit of dopamine. My scores are fucked, because this is not a 4

The cheese is 100% effective here. In fact, this is the album that directly comes to mind when people talk about cheesiness.
Face 2 Face and Too Long are among the best tracks here, One More Time is an all time classic.

my neighbour played Fang Island in his yard a couple months ago, ran into him with his dog later and said "hey man was that you playing Fang Island a few days ago?" and he was like "uhhhh yeah?" and I mentally vowed to never talk to anyone about music irl ever again

the cheese is 100% effective here [2]

To put in layman's or Bigglestein's terms, this is the McDs of muzak

It's very bubble gum and synthetic Colton, that's for sure. But that's fitting I think!

There are only a handful of Daft Punk songs I really enjoy. Seriously struggle to get into a whole album by these dudes

First two are perfect, but very 90s house so not for everyone; the other two have their moments. So I get that.
