Ugh I hate the "ok here me out" type of talk like your saying in the first paragraph. Don't say this shit, and stand firmly by your opinion. I have no idea who's alt this is, but this is very poorly back. You really generalize the main selling point of this album and people listen to this for many many different reasons. The concept of the terrible demise of a friendship, the love of old prog, the atmosphere, the emotion, what have you. It's all different. Plus you don't have any arguments for some of the songs having lazy song writing in paragraph three. You just kinda say they're lazy and leave it at that. Pretty much, this reads harsher than a 3 and the points aren't backed up well. I don't give a fuck about this being Pink Floyd, but this review just has me scratching my head the entire time.

would this review have gotten the same attention? no, obviously not? nobody is arguing it would... how is this "hivemind"?
why wouldn't people more closely scrutinize something that doesn't line up with their opinion? people generally have reasons for their opinions. maybe they went into this review looking to better understand the other side, and this review -because let's face it, it's not very good- left them wanting.
in what world do you live in where this is at all due to some "hivemind" phenomenon lol?

@eric - I agree... actually. I've seen negative-ish reviews of lauded albums that were actually received well due to the writing. I guess people are more likely to scrutinize a review of an album like this, which should prompt the writer to be exceptional in his arguments
