Yeah man. Him screaming to the guitar pick up in End of the Affair gives me chills.

Dewinged was just watching the jools Holland performance, the part where he screams into his guitar and got chills, such a dark track.

I'd argue Small Things, those two you mentioned, Conrad and All Now is Harmed are all the same level

She Treats Me Well is my jam, even though it's pretty easily the least dark thing on this album

I really hope he does, one of the best songwriters out there at the moment.

Check the new link cause it seems there are bad quality links making the round. That youtube one seems to be the good one.

I am loving it so far.

yeah that was so epic. wasn't too sold on the vocal production at the start, but the track built so nicely, by the end I was blown away. I have no doubts in Ben as a songwriter, the album will be quality throughout I'm sure

god damn I can't stand how half his fanbase keep asking him for him to bring back his earlier style.

Yeah man, I wish people would just move on with the Only Love shit and let the man do his thing.

the darker stuff is so much better too, perhaps not as accessible but it actually feels genuine, you know?

Absolutely. His music now has such a strong character and you can see how he worked on his guitar sound and voice register creating smth unique for himself. Really excited about the new album now.

I was worried he would give in to pressure and went all "happy love" to satisfy the masses.

I don't think he's the kinda guy to really cave into external pressures and what others think, he's always kinda gone his own way with things, which I admire.

This interview discusses it a bit https://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/ben-howard-why-i-wont-play-your-favourites-20150317-1402un.html

Yeah I remember that. He had a huge meltdown during a show and basically told everyone to fuck off lol

Love the guy.
