I like it, very Avalanches

Was kinda hoping it meant he had a new album on the horizon but there are no signs of any such type of news

Hearing Never Come Back and You And I makes Home sound even worse and I'm not sure how it it will fit on the album
|
| |
Never come back is awesome
|
| |
New album slaps that’s my take
|
| |
Probably one of his worst.
|
| |
U thrive on conflict and I respect that

Lol

Seriously tho this is my qualm..
Caribou has been known as a bit if a chameleon. He has a certain vivaciousness that makes him distinctly recognizable across his discography, but his style has changed and developed each album in pretty impactful ways... until this one. Our Love felt like a retread of Swim, which was mostly welcome because Swim was his best record... but the new one is a retread of Our Love which is already a retread...
It's a fun album and there is some good stuff but everything is just way too familiar and safe. He's going full bonobo.

Yeah it’s comfort music for me. Warm and playful
|
| |
That's fair
|
| |
Yeah I'm in the same camp, it's feel-good music, which is very welcome in these scary times
