It's funny you say that. I'm writing my senior thesis on music criticism through the years, and that phrase was all the rage in 1780 about Beethoven, 1840 about Wagner, 1860 about Tchaikovsky, and 1956 about Elvis. I'm not saying Babymetal will go down in history, but every trend is "that horrible new thing" at some point.
