That guitar tone in Make It Right is perfection. I think how the keyboards aren't used in a cheesy way either. It only adds to the depressed atmosphere even more.

Every song is incredible, but Deep, One Last Goodbye, and the title track are among my favorites.

Yeah, especially 'Drown'. So incredible it's not even on the tracklist. You mean 'Deep'?

Lol Drown, But nice Insta5 Talons it truly evokes the hopeless mood it's going for with grace.

Sorry I meant Deep. The last two are also amazing, and I knew I'd 5 is eventually so I figured why waste time haha

I think I even said along the lines of this in the review, but 2000 & Gone always reminds me that life is worth living, no matter what. The perfect closer for an album like this

True that. So soothing and sorta uplifting after all the emotional load before it.

Yea I know. I see it as a fast forward to a peaceful, fulfilling life where all of the sadness is gone. You'd think an overly positive song like that wouldn't work on an album like this, but it really pays off.

This album wasn't overtly depressing or overemotional for me, if anything it's one of their most optimistic and cathartic without overdoing it, a quality they sort of lost with each subsequent album.

Cathartic is the correct word for me as well. A4 on the other hand was really depressing.

I never really saw it as extremely depressing, more of just really deep and introspective.

Wow really guys? This is probably one of the most depressing albums I've ever listened to, but everyone hears different shit.

For me A4 is more angry and frustrated on a surface level. This is that but at a deeper spiritual level. At odds with ones self.

It's definitely depressive, especially certain songs. I think A4 can be really deep at times, too.
