Yeah, I found The Reckoning Man to be the only track that dragged a little. This blew me away if I'm honest. ha

Because those vocals are so sudden and terrible

See what you're saying like hahah. Think it adds to the theme he's going for though. ha

For some reason this album's sound/style reminds me of the Finnish neofolk/ambient band Nest, just done pretty poorly.

Fair enough. I thought it was quite a nice change in sound.

Nest rules. But this does too in some odd way. Probably because of all the things done different and "wrong".

Agreed, exactly why I didn't deduct as many points as I probably should have. I mean, the vocals still

suck, but I do see how they the album's concept, so in a way I can get behind them. Unfortunately

sometimes the vocals are just so bad, like on Ek Fellr or Heil Freyja, that it bothers the hell out of

me and totally takes me out of the moment. But like on Hall of Fallen, Varg's voice is perfect.

It is a pagan and either a Buddhist or a Hindu symbol as well.

Yeah but I'm sure he's playing on that! The guys is hiding behind his "cultural" war while he is just acting like a neo-nazi.

Exactly. People always relate the Swastika to the Nazi's, which isn't right.

I don't agree with Varg's views anyway.

I actually somewhat agree with his views on Christianity to an extent, but he takes ideology way too

serious.

I feel sorry for people who are so deeply immersed into ideological views that their views are what

they live for/dedicate all of their time and creative energy towards.
