god, so much fuss..

Review is good, you make some good points. The only thing I enjoy from them is Brothers, let's try this one.

This was made for a casual listen, like 90% of the other Black Keys albums, it isn't made to get you invested. There's some cool references and nice guitar sessions, but not much else. It manages to be enjoyable if you don't go about it looking for something spectacular.

For me, the middle of the album is kind of underwhelming, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think a lot of people come listening to The Black Keys expecting some serious, "from another world", deep music. If you accept that the album isn't aiming for that and is just simple fun, kind of like a motown type song, then you're going to have a better time.

please stop claiming people who didn't like this as much as you did were expecting something "otherworldly" from the black keys. I didn't, I never thought of their music as extraordinary in that sense, but while they had some pretty good jams on their past albums, on this they have only one good jam, while the rest is pretty damn boring. But we can agree that the middle of this album is underwhelmning.

Rochester is the closest one near me. Was hoping for Buffalo, but that's not THAT huge a difference.
