Funny the tracks with clean vox are the ones that attract me the most after first listen. Funny cause clean vox on One for Sorrow really turn me off. They sound great and natural on this record and don't give you the feeling the guys tried too hard to put clean vox in the songs. Album rules.

They are written into the songs a lot better than One for Sorrow, where they were a bit out of place. They are still layered as hell which can get quite annoying, though.

Album is really good but I feel like way too often bands like this feel the need to make 7 minute tracks, which in my opinion takes away from the music. Makes it feel too drawn out a lot; I'd enjoy some of these even more if they were just 4 minutes.

After several listens these are pretty much my exact thoughts. It's a damn good album but at the same time you know they can do better, and they almost did, which is frustrating. But oh well, maybe next time.
