I like this album quite a bit. I thought it was a 3 at first but its really started to grow on me.

I thought this was a 3.5, but in my opinion, it is just baaaarely above average... It is so boring.

There are 2-3 standout tracks and the rest are so samey and repetitive. I've never thought Andy's voice was annoying before, but it is on almost all of these songs. Hands down, least favorite of their entire catalogue.

Maybe I just had a good random listen. tbh I remember liking Hope more than Cope.

I wish I'd only heard Hope haha, I'd like it much better. But it held little replay value for me just because of the choruses. They were old before Hope even came out.

@dbizzles I think I figured out why Im digging Cope now. I heard Hope after only listening to Cope once and I loved Hope and just thought Cope was meh. Now I'm listening to Cope after already being in love with Hope and its really clicking. Maybe they just released these albums in the wrong order?

Album sounds like MO decided: "We're the Foo Fighters now".

You know, for an album that is supposed to relentlessly beat us over the head (or whatever Andy said), there is minimal angst here.

simple math was very boring, only song i ever go back to is the title track which is one of the better things the band has done. mean everything to nothing is a solid 5 tho

Didn't like how they opted for max amped guitars over any semblance of creative songwriting for this one. With that said, Andy Hull = 3.5

Honestly, I'd say start with Mean Everything To Nothing even though it's only a tie for my 2nd favorite. It was how I got introduced to the band and I love them now, so I'm wondering if it might work the same way for you.

Simple Math is their masterpiece though (despite a decent faction of dissenting opinions on this), if you feel like getting right down to it.
