How exactly are these vocals generic?

There is nothing interesting or creative in the vocal department. And The vocals barely reflect any of the emotion conveyed in the band's instrumentation. There really isn't much at all appealing about them.

They are a lil' bit generic. I mean, Mike did a great job on the HAARP Machine but this one meh. So one dimensional.

Okay I understand your opinion. I do think the vocals poppy sensibilities are what set him apart though. He's one of the better Djent vocalists imo

I love the vocal arrangements on this. The dude writes beautiful vocal lines.

yeah I honestly don't get all the hate for the vocals, they're pretty fantastic. I guess it was inevitable with the change

Ephemeral and Self Surrender in particular have incredible melodies.

I like Semesky. I like Intervals. But I don't like them combined. Semesky was a great fit for Haunted Shores and Haarp.

dude has pipes but the vocals themselves are so uninspired and BLAH. all cleans was a very poor decision imo

Ah okay. Yeah I really liked their eps too. Wish they had their first EP on iTunes though. Hate using bandcamp.

agreed about Semesky's vox. Dude is talented no doubt, but the vocals are so boring here.

Should I bother with this? I dug their instrumental albums. Idk if I like the idea of a vocalist.
Edit: Answered my own question. This is tight.
