"I'm still trying to decide whether or not Carnifex is trying to be funny, this album, even the band in general, is more of a joke than anything else. For instance, trying to sound all badass in their songs, when they can't even get metal in general right, as much as I hate deathcore, I will be mature about why I hate it so much. First off, it's not metal, period. I like to call it "fake metal" because really all they're doing is fucking it up. Second, the sound is so wrong, all of it is wrong, from the vocals to the mesh of the guitars supporting them. The vocalist sounds like a lion going through a wood-chipper, pure noise and he's not executing the vocals properly, he's merely spitting them out and, in the end, makes them sound wrong and unattractive. "

I think this was a pretty fun album. I liked the guitar solos and the symphonic parts. The chugs weren't very bothersome either, if a bit too ubiquitoous. but dis is deffkoar after all
