Immortal technique makes great rhymes, that's for sure. But he has some problems with his delivery and the communist crap that he talks about 24/7 is annoying as fuck, most of his material is between 3-3,5. Still better than crap like lil b, gucci mane, riff raff, waka flocka, drake, mac miller and more

The funny thing about Wocka Flocka is that he admitted in an interview that he'd rather fill grocery bags at Walmart than actually rap

idk i think the "communist crap" he talks about is actually pretty thoughtful most of the time,

especially on Revolutionary Volume 2... like Peruvian Cocaine showing how cocaine gets in the US was

brilliant... but yeah on 3rd World it was kinda ridiculous shock-value shit, but on The Martyr he

hardly really even talked about communism/politics and dealt a lot more with everyday life.

Still think hes one of the best lyricists of all time even if he has a good amount of bad sounding

tracks

I lived in a spot called Millbrooke Projects

The original Criminal Minded rap topic

With twenty cents in my pocket I saw the light

If you're young gifted and black, you got no rights

Your only true right, is a right to a fight

And not a fair fight, I wake up wonderin who died last night

about 1000x more coherently and intelligently puts this sentiment into words than someone like ice cube

Fuck the police comin straight from the underground

A young nigga got it bad cause I'm brown

And not the other color so police think

they have the authority to kill a minority

Fuck that shit, cause I ain't the one

for a punk motherfucker with a badge and a gun

They had different agendas man. KRS is like the cool professor you have in college who doesnt give a fuck about your grades but just wants you to learn peace love and understanding.

Cube is like the dude who wanted to tell you how you can get served on the streets

Either that, or NWA had a white dude controlling thier puppet strings and knew what woudl be shock/controversial and sell records.

In either event, both rule.

I mean Cmon, Cube fronted Westside Connection, Bow Down is pretty much the best album ever.

Im not saying Cube is bad at all, Predator, Lethal Injection etc. WSC stuff is all classic, hes a

GOAT. It's just that times have changed a lot in LA and elsewhere since he wrote his stuff.

most people that listen to KRS are actually seriously concerned with what hes talking about and are

involved in practical efforts to solve it, which makes him one of the most meaningful artists imo and

unique
