Still has my favourite behind-the-solo-riff on Dead Emotion.
The only weakness on this and other PL albums are the drums.

It's also pretty remarkable that, except the drummers, it's always been the same line-up.

Indeed. They were probably suffering from the horrible misconception that drums aren't that important in doom.
But some of these fills make me think of my first time behind a drum kit.

Shattered gives me the creeps every time for some reason

Compared to the previous one, this album is highly overrated.

With female vox. It was kind of PL's thing for a few years. Then suddenly every gothmetal band got a sexy girl vocalist.

They set the basis for the beauty and the beast approach, but it was only really brought to front by bands like Theatre of Tragedy a few years later.

So much knowledge, I feel slightly intoxicated,

This is so crunchy. By this point I'm sure that I like my PL best with death metal, though I don't mind anything really. Checked a random song off Believe in Nothing and I dig, checked a random song from In Requiem and I dig. This band is a gift that keeps on giving, a huge delicious turkey, a piñata that keeps cracking and restoring itself

Ah, you mean a kind of mexican version of Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr.
