Well I found Insect's comment helpful and concise enough to turn my curiosity into action. I'm weary of a lot of modern music, for its, well sometimes uninteresting trends that I can't stand - personal taste, ha.

well tbh coheed sounds sort of trendy at first, but when you listen to them a few times you'll start discovering things that set them apart, like the guitar work and prog influences.

I'll admit I love most prog (who doesn't) - I eagerly await to see what this is like.

This isn't as proggy as their future outputs, some songs even have a pop/punkish feel but there still is a good deal of prog/forward thinking music

I remember when i first got this album years back, and hating it. Claudio's voice is high indeed and to some it can be annoying, but I feel that after a while you get use to get. Along with the story line that any fan must look into. A sci fi adventure that was created by the mind of Claudio Shanchez, I still feel it is one of my all time favorite albums. A shame they evolved from this sound, because I still feel SSTB and IKSSE: 3 were there best albums easily

I still have yet to listen to this. With all these high rated comments, it makes me feel worse each time I read one. Maybe I'll finally listen to it today.

I hate you. So very, very much. I wish Neverender was played in KC. That would be.... God, a dream come true.

Papercut my heart in half and discard the evidence

when it's yours come send me the last half

doused in kerosene in a torched, blazed blood bath.
