THis album is good despite the band trying to reach a more mainstream audience. just as good as some of their other stuff. If you're one of those pretentious hipsters that automatically hate all things pop/mainstream at least listen to this album before you declare it overrated or shitty.

Kinda surprising how long Portugal. The Man have now gone without releasing an LP. We used to get one a year. I remember watching some interview with John right after Evil Friends came out and he said he didn't ever want to take that long to release an album again--guess that didn't happen, since here we are almost 2 and a half years since release and no announcement even.
Hope a single and announcement come out soon!

This record is honestly very stripped down compared to their earlier works and is probably one of their weaker records, considering Ryan is no longer in the band, but it is indeed a decent record, but not as good as their last ones.

Not that sputnik gives much of a shit about these guys- one of my favorite bands for years -but, I finally got to listen to my vinyl of this from my pre-order and not only does its sound like shit, but it made me conclude that this may, as a whole, be the worst album they have released. There are a few awesome tracks and lines, but this may be their most uninspired and commercial album to date.
