I listen this one other 3 times and the best score I can gave to this is a 2, decent production, good
beats and some good collaborations but mac miller is one of the most annoying dudes ever and besides
people like him are a cancer to the hip hop music.

I hate his last album with a passion. Is it worth my time to attempt this album?

"heist 2013"

why are you even comparing the two? what else do they have in common apart for being white?

the fact that those with entry-level rap taste will declare it as (one of) the best of the year. oh,

and it sucks - they have that in common.

I wouldn't consider myself someone with entry-level rap taste and I rather liked the heist. contrary to mac miller's gimmick, which is being a party-loving white boy, macklemore's "gimmick" is honesty, and even if it might come off as corny or not genuine at times, it's definitely more original in rap, which is what most people find refreshing I imagine. he also has good production and decent technicality and doesn't rely on features to make his music appealing. so other than both of them being accessible to non-rap listeners and you disliking them, I don't really see similarities

This is actually good....not like, amazing.....but still good. One of the biggest 180s I've seen in hip hop

Not much of a fan of his mixtapes and last album, but i'm pretty sure mac had the best release out of kanye and j.cole. Cole and Yeezy's release we're extremely disappointing....and for some reason Yeezy will probably get album of the year. I mean yeah the production blah blah..but seriously? He's gotten way too into himself, and as for J. Cole, he has SO much potential but comes with the same tired rhymes and flow everytime...still looking forward to the kendrick/cole joint if it ever comes out though.....but mac definitely took this one, surprisingly.
