I'd say Division is slightly better but both albums have songs that match the mood of this. Only production on both are a little better which makes them less organic to me. Also kinda in the same vain.

I completely agree with this review. For me, The Autumn Effect is one of those rare perfect classics, and I also think that this album, and most of what has been done by Deftones is the best alternative metal out there. I also think the genre has very little to offer lately.
