this is good, unfortunately it suffers from the "apparently the only problems in my life are breakups" syndrome.

The new single, "Claire", sounds like an indy rock version, with vocal effects, synths, etc version of this album. It's aiight.

This album is so special to me, every song hits hard. Was one of my very first emo albums and albums in general. It can be a formulaic at times, songs can blend a bit, but I love it all the same. Bumping to a 4.5. Nostalgia has become a factor.

still can't believe how quietly this album slipped by most indie/emos on here and just online in general. ages like a fine wine, and the fact that they haven't matched this quality whatsoever says a lot about the ~lightning in a bottle~ that this record has. pretty bummed it's not at a 4 avg anymore but ohwelll

also deathconscious is kinda right, but if there's a breakup album that can be refreshing even to this day, this is definitely it.

just saw these guys in Buffalo last night. Never heard of em before, but my girlfriend wanted me to come with her. Man, their set was just brutal. but everyone knew the words and the crowd loved it. Just really not for me at all, every song was so melodramatic with a corny pop-punk hook. Only show i'd ever been to where I was happy when I had to pee or get another beer, because I got away from the music a bit. They were not tight either, the one guitarist was routinely playing sour notes, and the vocalist said on multiple occasions "dude, I f'd that one up!". Cool stuff
They closed with a cover of 1979. Kid next to me leaned back to his buddy and said, "Bro you love this song, its by the Foo Fighters!". Tough scene

oof, I am worried for Sunday now. I saw them open for The Early November a few years back and I recall them not playing so well... Despite this album being unbelievably melodramatic, I love it. Hoping I can see past the disappointing aspects you named haha

Well, the crowd fucking LOVED their set. So if you know the songs, I'm sure you'll like it. I kind of despise their music to begin with, so even if they played amazing i still would have been bored. I will say though, at the start of their encore the singer said "well I lost my voice, so Buffalo you guys got the real show. Ohio is going to get what they get!". So I assume they are playing Cleveland tonight. Maybe his voice will be back by Sunday lol

hahaha, oof. Poor Ohio!
Have Mercy want on a tour called "The final tour" in 2020 (must have been pre-covid..). They then proceeded to drop an ep in 2022 and are now doing this small tour in 2023. They are probably pretty rusty and might not even have the original members outside the singer. Was really surprised to see these shows even taking place.
